Lord Venkateswara is the main diety, which is one form of Hindu God Vishnu. The lord is also known by other names such as Govinda, Srinivasa or Balaji. A number of legends are said to be related to the God in Tirumala, one of which says that the temple contains a murti or idol of the Lord Venkateswara, which is believed to remain in the future for the whole kalki yuga.
