Why would you want to knit or crochet when you can buy mass-produced machine knitted goods less expensively from stores? I mean, your grandmother's grandmother might have knit as a pastime but you can't even remember anyone in your family doing it. Who has the time? People have been knitting and crocheting for hundreds of years.
