Measure the Harmonic to Noise Ratio from your microphone. Harmonicity is a measure of the sound energy in the harmonics relative to the rest of the spectrum. Harmocity varies with age, gender & which vowel you pronounce. Higher harmonicity values indicate a purer sound. Whilst lower jitter and shimmer values indicate a purer sound.
